James Ellison III (May 23, 1756 – January 4, 1824) was General of Continental Army, during American Revolutionary War. Ellison served 1st Military Governor of Pennsylvania (1791-1799), his successor was his friend; Joseph Kerney. He was uncle of Polish Emperor and Swedish King was Casimir I & III Ellison.
